2025 EU Citizens' Gathering
EPLO UK is thrilled to be heading to Manchester on Thursday 10 and Friday 11 July on the occasion of the 2025 EU Citizens' Gathering.
This is the fourth edition of the flagship event for EU citizens living in the UK organised by the EU Delegation to the UK, in close cooperation with our office, and the first occurrence outside of London. The EU Citizens' Gathering celebrates the invaluable contributions that EU citizens make to the social, economic, and cultural fabric of British society, and as each year, it will bring together over 150 participants: politicians from both sides of the Channel and representatives from NGOs, businesses, local government, and academia to share experiences and expand professional networks.
The gathering will feature prominent European leaders, including Michael McGrath, European Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law and Consumer Protection and Katarina Barley MEP, Vice-President of the European Parliament, who leads relations with European civil society and deputises for the EP President both for relations with the United Kingdom and for the EU-UK Parliamentary Partnership. EPLO UK will as always be present with a stand, speak at panel discussions and moderate workshops, and accompany the Vice-President in her speaking and media engagements.
Before the EU Citizens’ Gathering, on 10 July, a special programme has been prepared for several Ambassadors of EU Member states who will join EU Ambassador Pedro Serrano in Manchester for this occasion, including an Ambassador Schools Awarding Ceremony at a local school. More on this below!
