In Between Spaces: Inclusion and Representation of Central and Eastern European (CEE) Artists in the UK Creative Economy
Panel discussion launching the research report In Between Spaces: Inclusion and Representation of Central and Eastern European (CEE) Artists in the UK Creative Economy.
You are kindly invited to join to the panel discussion launching the extended version of the report In Between Spaces: Inclusion and Representation of Central and Eastern European (CEE) Artists in the UK Creative Economy, created by the University of Birmingham (UoB) and Centrala Space Art Gallery in Birmingham. Launched in 2021, the original report received significant attention for its focus on the underrepresentation of Central and Eastern European artists in the Midlands. In response to feedback requesting a broader perspective, additional data has been gathered from cities across England. This extension aims to provide a comprehensive national picture and re-establish the significance of the original report.
The project originates from an AHRC M4C Creative Economies Engagement Fellowship and highlights significant contributions from the team at Centrala, alongside the Academic Lead, Professor Sara Jones, and researchers Jakub Ceglarz, Tania Constantin and Elizabeth Lamle. The extension research was funded by the College of Arts and Law at the University of Birmingham.
